The fear of taking the bold steps to leap from your comfort zone into the unknown is a common problem. ADD amongst entrepreneurs is common and will often result in additional issues like low cash flow, minimal growth and lack of enthusiasm in the market.

It is true that we put very little effort into our small goals and will not even attempt something we can do easily. But when faced with an almost impossible goal and task we draw on all our skills and resources to make it happen.

So when setting your weekly goals today, do not go for small or mediocre, go for gold, reach out and seek the adventures of life. Get over the Adventure Deficient Disorder and Make it happen.

Now that they hype of a New Year’s Party has subsided and reality begins to set in we are faced with the promises and resolutions we all shared with each other just after midnight on Friday. Now if left as is we have a statistical chance of maintaining these of less that 23%.

If you were and are serious about achieving or maintaining any new year’s resolutions one of the best ways to getting this done is to set a goal date and appoint an accountability partner for each one. Simply by setting a date to achieve this will motivate an initial action and to have someone who will constantly remind and encourage you will create movement and build momentum. Changing the achievement stats from 23% to over 80%.

Go make it happen for yourself, become a world changer.

Being an Entrepreneur means having to get up each day and face the future with confidence and hope of better things yet to come. Each day brings new challenges and hurdles to jump over, through and around but never giving up.

I found this great poem that thought may be a pick me up for those of you who are having a rough day. Enjoy

When to quit your job

We continue on our Monday, Formula for Life theme with an interesting assessment of when to quit your job. We have all had times when we have urges to storm into the boss’s office and stab him in the neck with your clutch pencil and quit. Ok, maybe it is only me. But what if you could calculate the best possible time to leave your current job. Try this one:

 quit-my-job

H = hours per normal day that you are unhappy at work

A = Your current age

G = How good your current job is (1 – 10) 10 being taster for Lindt

K = How many kids you have, that you know of

P = Chances for finding another job (1 – 10) 10 being already signed a contract

F = Your current level of financial commitment (1 – 10) 10 being mortgaged for the next 40 years

S1 = Monthly salary you could expect from a new job (ZAR)

S2 = Current monthly salary (ZAR)

 Fill in all the numbers; work from with in the brackets out.

If QUIT is greater than 1, then you have a good reason to speak to the boss today.

Good luck.

Almost 3 years ago I received a call from a women who was busy studding to be a coach and required a mentor/coach to assist her through the process. This is when Megan and I met.

One of our first tasks was to develop her 3 year goals and begin the journey. One of her top goals was to find the perfect man and get married. This together with completing her coaching course, resign from her current position and start her own business, move to live on the Atlantic seaboard and become financially independent.

picture-241Our journey continued for a year as I met with Megan each month and we began to reach her goals and tick them off one by one. Once Megan was qualified she joined our HEP team as a family coach and counselor. She has since started her own business, moved to live on the Atlantic seafront and on Saturday we attended her marriage to Clinton who in her words is the perfect man.

Well done Megan and congratulations of the final goal achievement and all within the specified 3 years. Just proof that coaching and accountability does work and you too could be get your life and business re-engineered and moving forward.
