The Young Entrepreneur Program (Y.E.P),
a program run by Evo Media, Sierra Nevada College, Northern Nevada University and US State
Government, promotes the development of the entrepreneurial spirit in young South
Africans. The program starts with Orientation classes in South Africa then takes the “YEPers” to
the United States(USA) where they are paired up with local entrepreneurs for 5 weeks. After
this experience YEPers are ready to turn training into reality.
The first group Young Entrepreneurs
currently returned from USA and have seen great success. 12 individuals were selected, received
training in Cape Town and johannesburg, and then flown out to Reno, Nevada. There they
learned a great deal from their US mentors and were excited to get back to their
businesses in South Africa.
