In the world of small business, the word “try’ and ‘hope’ should not be part of your daily vocab. We are not called to try and make it work, or to hope the results are positive. We cannot run our business on luck.

We need to be prepared for the future, no matter how unknown it may seem.

Never plan a marketing campaign and then hope someone will call, plan in order to ensure someone calls. Get your details correct, plan the execution to the finest details and then sit back with anticipation of a positive result.

If you are doing something in your business and there are no results, then do something different. Do not just work harder and expect it to work better. Much the same as speaking louder to a foreign person will not make them understand us any better. Change the paradigm, shift the methodology, do something new. Then measure and manage.

Yoda’s words ring true every day “Try not, just do.” What are you trying in your business that you should be doing?
