When putting all your online strategies
together it is important to always remember your ultimate goal: To start and
continue profitable conversations. But this is never as easy as it may seem, so
lets break it down into 5 simple steps, what I call the 5 C’s of online success.
Capture – You need to capture the
information of those who have visited your site or online platform. At least their
first name and some form of communication, either their email address of cell
number.
Categorize – Understand a little about
their needs and wants and be able to steer them into the right direction. Some
people just want to browse, others will be your biggest customer, determine who
is who and guide them to where you need them to be.
Clarify – To be able to serve them better,
you need to clarify their needs a little more. Get more information from them,
ask them questions, decide what product or service you offer will best suit
their needs and wants.
Convert – Conversion is your hard sell.
This is when you can put the contract and price in front of them and get them
to sign. Do this openly and honestly. Do not try to manipulate people into
giving you their money, it is not a good way to start a relationship.
Conversation – Continue this step with every
person you have made contact with. Keep them talking, reading, commenting and
coming back. Remember it is 10 harder to get a new contact than it is to keep
an existing one. Use all your social media platforms, blogs and emails to keep
them chatting. This keeps your brand top of mind for both further sales and
referrals.
