We often speak about living the dream and wanting to relax on the beach at Bali and sipping cocktails while the water laps at our toes. But living the dream needs to be preceded by dreaming the life. Life is not like the movies when we find a suitcase of money or win the lotto and live happily ever after. It is about planning, working, collaborating and getting the job done. It involves at the very basic level a dream to follow.

We are required to dream of our future; it is our imagination that separates us from a lot of other species on the planet, so let’s use it. Let you imagination go and dream your life, write it out in words, stick pictures on a poster, take photos of your dream car, house, spouse or new office building. Dream your life.

Once you have your dream set, then start planning and working and collaborating; so one day you will indeed live your dream. The one thing that separates our dreams from reality is action.
