Each week we focus our spotlight on one of our members, this week we chat to Marc Nortje. Marc is also one of the Young Entrepreneur Programme winners for 2010. 

Who are you?

My name is Marc Nortje. I live and dream in Cape Town. I currently run a show reel production company Reel Me Digital and in the process of starting Office Dynamix.

What do you do?

Reel Me Digital produces show reels for local talent, brands and organizations in South Africa. Some of our clients include Toyota SA, Writeroundsa, Annelie Mare, Precious Nyawuza, Sam Heldinger and Dehon. Our offerings include a full service package from filming, editing and post production work. All show reels are presented in personalized packaging.

Office Dynamix is our new baby currently in the early phases of implementation. We will soon open with our virtual office services to small the medium size businesses, extending this to boardroom and office rentals, secretarial services including bookkeeping, financial and courier plugins. We are confident that this will be a huge niche market for South African entrepreneurs.

What lessons learnt would you like to share?

Never take anything for granted. Test everything. Market research is key to the success of any venture. Team work and collaboration is the other corner stone of any sustainable project, we have to learn to work together.
