A huge part of being a successful entrepreneur is
complementing a good business model with an excellent team. This team needs to
be lead by a person who best fits the Entrepreneurial profile that will against
all odds be able to weather the storm of small business and still be around in
the future. This question of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur is
one that we have toiled with for some time and have recently come a whole lot
closer to answering with a sense of confidence.
We have partnered with Johan de Goede, an industrial
psychologist who has put together a clinical assessment that takes and analyses
the entrepreneurial traits. This multi facet assessment, done online in less
than an hour, provides Johan with enough data to compile a comprehensive report
covering the following;
Personality type, Drive to succeed, Social Network, Outlook
on success, Openness to new ideas, Internal locus of control and Emotional
resilience.
Having this information together with a 30 minute chat with
Johan provides you with enough wisdom to understand where to focus your
strengths and where to seek assistance in your business. It was reassuring to
get my results this week to see that I do indeed have the best profile for an Entrepreneur
Coach. Johan was able to pin point some interesting facts about my profile that
may need management and offered some guidelines on issues that may create gaps
in the delivery of services through my business, a real eye opener and great
advice. Highly recommended for all business owners. This just may become a
standard part of the EI membership package in months to come as well as a prerequisite
to VC funding for businesses.
