Cape Town Entrepreneurship Week has
gathered momentum over the past few days with a huge volume of people now
sitting up and taking notice. For year one of a ten year strategy I am
encouraged to see such a high volume of chatter this early in the project. The
City of Cape Town and the source partners have achieved a huge goal in a very
short space of time. My only complaint is the lack of time in the day to attend
all the functions I want to be at.
We had a chance to present a number of
exciting workshop topics at a venue in Cape Town on Monday to Wednesday. These
were attended by a variety of business owners and entrepreneurs. During these
workshops we not only discussed various hot issues around developing a business
but also were able to promote the services of various suppliers to small
business and give away just over R10 000 of prizes. The final draw of the
big prizes has just been done and the winners will be getting an email in their
inbox shortly. So cool to play Father Christmas and give out gifts.
I am putting the final touches of
preparation into my presentation for Saturday’s talk followed by two panel
discussions. Join us at the Thusong Centre in Khayelitsha for the final day of
CTEW 2010.
