As a business owner and Entrepreneur we are
often faced with failure that comes in many forms. It could be a lost account,
a failed test of a product or yet another rejection for funding. For me, I take
failure very personally, it cuts me deep and will often take time to heal, but
heal it must and we need to get back on that dam horse and keep riding.
A few other issues that get to me are when
people do not do as they say and fail to keep appointments, do not show up for
workshops they book on or just fail to pay bills that they have clocked up.
Loss on the other hand has a different
affect on me. I have had some major losses in my life, family members and close
friends. Just yesterday a long standing friend passed away leaving a huge void
in our lives. Paul you will be missed. I see loss as a normal part of life.
Being able to find what you lost is more important and often easier than
failure that becomes personal. I can use the Ctrl F function on my computer or
search the house for my keys or reconcile the loss at a funeral but failure is
far worse for me.
But no matter what the issue we face today,
this week or this month may they be an opportunities to learn, reconcile and
develop a stronger character in us all.
