Remember the song “I’ve got a combined-harvester
and I’ll give you the key” from the early 70’s. Was this the beginning of this
movement or as all good things was it just copied from African tradition of
bata and ubuntu. Anyway the rise of collaborative consumption and the joint
venture for the greater good of the community can be seen as a major trend in
small business.
A simple rule applies: Do I have something
that I am not using right now that could be used by others who need it? Simple
enough, sounds like a market gap analysis, but what about looking at the
collaboration factor and not the economic gain issues for a moment and then
begin to share and cooperate with the joint progress of entrepreneurs and
people in general. Check out the video below and vist these guys here. They have some good
stuff going on. Also just pop on over to any African village or community and
see it in action as it has been done for 100’s years.
