The Entrepreneur Incubator offers the effect of business development through skills multiplication. This is achieved through our network of Business Coaches and proven material and tools.
Our journey begins with a young man arriving at his corporate
cubicle on his first day at work back in the early 80’s. I was keen, enthused
and willing to get involved in developing both the company and my own career.
Weeks turned into months and soon I began to understand my job function and
learn the different tools and computer functions I needed to do my job. Months
turned into years and I moved up the ranks across various companies gaining
huge amount of experience and talent. Money became available and toys were
accumulated, holidays were taken and I thought I had arrived, but inside I
began to die. My initial enthusiasm was replaced by the essential survival skill
required to cover my back and protect my job. The sense of team became a battle
of every man for himself. Stress was mounting followed by illness and a
breakdown in relationships. Those who played this corporate game well were
rewarded and those like me who just worked hard got overlooked and bypassed.
I soon realised that hard work and technical expertise were
not the best way to get ahead and soon got involved in the game of corporate
politics but due to my values and strong ethics soon realised that this was not
a place to be and finally, after a stretch as a consultant with various
mainline computer companies, I opted out of the corporate world and got
released from cubicle nation.
I opened my own business and I soon began to see the
potential and benefits of being my own boss. Since then I have got involved in
various business start-ups, NGO’s and businesses across many different sectors.
I tried my hand at counselling and even got some education in psych studies but
soon found that due to my huge lack of empathy, I seemed to lack the basics of
the trade. Turning to coaching, I soon found my niche and putting this together
with my enthusiasm for entrepreneurship the Entrepreneur Incubator was born.
We have since, developed different business models and road
maps whilst continuing to develop our own business as well as those of our clients and EI members. Positioned now as the Business Coaching Network of choice we strive to have a major impact on
the small businesses in Africa and the rest of the world.
Recent developments have seen the introduction of the Entrepreneur Academy and the increasing of our team to better educate and assist our members. The future holds some exciting plans for us and we hope to expand into different countries and work with new and exciting organisation and companies in Entrepreneurial development.
